About Me	*********Heroes********* Modern day heroes, those are tough to come by. It use to be a kid could look up to their parent, most notably their father and say "dad is my hero". But so often dad is missing in kids lives today...mine included. My mom is the glue that has held our little rag-tag family together through thick and thin over the years. She's tough. Not just because she wants to be but because she's had to be. To see her brought to her knees twice in the past couple of years has reminded me just how human, fragile and vulnerable she really is. I am terrified. One day...my glue, my hero will be gone and I will be the one that will be brought to her knees showing her oh so human vulnerable side.......(read more)
