Served as a Communications Centerman. After boot camp at Parris Island, SC, went to Comm School at 29 Palms,CA then served at the 1st Marine Division Comm Ctr, Camp Pendleton, CA until being transferred to Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, 1st Marine Air Wing, Okinawa, Japan. After a year in Okinawa was transferred to Camp Lejuene, NC with HQ Battery, 10th Marine Regimental Comm Ctr until being honorably discharged in July 1981.
