FRIDAY 9/18:
3:30 PM MHS Homecoming Parade begins on Water & Lake Streets in Excelsior. Class of 1965 will have a unit in the parade. Plan to participate** OR just watch & cheer from eastside corner of 3rd & Water Sts!
NO CHARGE
** If you are participating, we'll contact you with details ... we'll be wearing our Class of '65 Tshirt. (see classmates John Reynolds & Sharon Hermel “Modelling” next page) If you need one, the cost is $15.00. Those ordering shirts, but not participating in the Parade, shirts wil be distributed at Excelsior Brewing Co.
4:00 - 10PM (time approximate) Join Classmates for Post-Parade gathering at Excelsior Brewing Company at 421 Third Street. Stop in anytime after 4 & stay as long as you wish. NO CHARGE. Beverage cost on your own.
6:30 PM Those attending the Homecoming Football game – meet at our designated area at the High School to receive your ticket to the game. $5.00 FEE
SATURDAY 9/19:
10:00 AM MHS Distinguished Alumni Awards Breakfast, where Classmate Don Mark will be one of the honorees. Register directly with Alumni Association. Link & reminder will be sent when registration is available.
12:30 PM MHS High School Tour.(*check out the photo next page) Meet at the “M” in the Main Lobby. FREE
4:00 – 9:00 PM Class of 1965 50th Reunion Party at Minnetonka Yacht Club/Light House Island. CASUAL ATTIRE/dress for the weather as the venue is not heated. Parking at Deephaven Elementary with shuttle bus provided to landing for boarding pontoon boats to/from the island throughout the evening.... OR bring your own boat!
Appetizers, Dinner & Dessert will be served (*see menu on next page). Complimentary wine, beer, water & soft drinks will be available throughout the evening. You may bring your own bottle & mix if you prefer. $58 FEE (price reduced to $52 with EARLY REGISTRATION by March 1)
If you want to party on...plan your own post-party gathering at one of the many nearby establishments open late on Saturday.
SUNDAY 9/20:
10:30 AM – 1:00 PM Treat our Teachers (& bid classmates a fond farewell) at the Lafayette Club Brunch. (*Menu on next page) We have a list of 19 teachers (see list on next page) we plan to invite... if you'd like us
to try to include a teacher special to you, please provide their name on the reservation form. We will do our best to locate & invite them. We will not be charging them, so please consider a donation to sponsor a teacher. IF we collect more donations than needed to meet this expense, money will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association on behalf of Class of '65. $30 FEE
SATURDAY 9/26:
8:30 – 11:30 AM Join us in the Walk to End Alzheimers, as we Remember Julie Newquist Webster at Target Field for 1 or 3 mile downtown route. Please indicate on the registration form if you plan to Walk. NO CHARGE
12:30 – 2:30 PM Post Walk Celebration at Hurricane Grill at Hwy 7 & 101, Minnetonka. Lunch cost on your own.
