About	Joe passed away peacefully on October 4,2020 with his wife by his side after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Joe will be forever remembered as a man with a determined personality, a love of classic rock, an unbelievable work ethic, a love of the outdoors and a passion for fishing and hunting, and someone who always lived life on his terms, his way. Joe felt his greatest accomplishments in life were his two daughters, Jana and Hanna, to whom he felt the utmost dedication and adoration. They have always been, and will forever be, "his girls." Joe leaves behind fellow Chaug graduates, Pat Read, '79 and Tom Read '80 and Kim Read Curran also Class of 1980.

I (Joe Roberts) knew Joe from a young age... we were at Pines School in the same class. Funny memory.... I remember the teacher (2nd grade maybe) teaching us words like talk, chalk, walk, balk, etc (the silent "L"). The Teacher then asked Joe to say these words... so what does he do? Pronounces them all WITH the "L" in them! I was laughing to myself (I think he did it as a joke) but the teacher was somewhat beside herself.
