| About | We lost an unforgettable friend and classmate on January 30, 2026, at Livingston Regional Hospital, Livingston, TN. Born in Cincinnati, OH, Gibby grew up in Milford, OH and graduated from Milford High School class of 1974. He later moved to Byrdstown, TN, to be close to his parents, where he made his home. Gibby is survived by his son, Evan Boggano; his mother, Delores (Dee) Gibbs; his nephew, John Hamons; and his bonus family: Mary Lou Curran; Kim & Phil Dickerson; Miranda & Walker Englehard; and Kay DeMaris. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude (Joe) Gibbs, his beloved sister, Joann Gibbs and his nephew Josh Hamons. After many years in the aerospace industry, Gibby retired as a manager - though he often joked that his most important credential was being a proud graduate of CSU: Common Sense University. He loved his truck, his motorcycle, his home on the lake, and his mom’s peanut butter cookies. And if the day ended with a good cigar and a cold beer, he considered it a good one. Known for his quick wit and playful pranks, Gibby created countless memories - boating on the lake, playing golf, sharing meals, and keeping everyone laughing. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, respect for others, and deep appreciation for our military and veterans. Above all, he valued friendship and family, those relationships meant everything to him. Gibby will be deeply missed, but his stories and laughter will live on every time friends gather, a joke is told, or a drink is shared. And when we raise that glass, we’ll smile - because we know he’d expect nothing less. |
