About Services for Winslow Barney Ward Jr., 78, Ada, are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church, Bud Ross and Dr. Jerry Stone officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. Mr. Ward died June 19, 2005, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born April 28, 1927, at Okmulgee to Winslow B. Ward and Sara Allison Ward. He graduated from Midwest City High School in May 1945, and moved to this area in 1947. He graduated from East Central University August, 1950, and from Oklahoma University Law School July, 1952. He was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association July, 1952. He served as Pontotoc County Attorney from 1953-58, and in private law practice from January 1959 until his death. Mr. Ward was a member of the Pontotoc County Bar Association, the Oklahoma State Bar Association, Oklahoma Defense Lawyers Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He married Pat Northcott Dec. 22, 1960. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Ward in 1999. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Lori Wallis, Ada; one son, Jeff Ward and wife Penny, Allen; and two grandsons, Levi Howard and Chase Ward. Bearers are Gene Standridge, A. C. Kenyon, Jerry Walston, Jack Christensen, Tom Skinner and Keith Hildreth. Honorary bearers are Dick Cope, Allen Reese, and members of the Pontotoc County and Oklahoma Bar Associations. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home
