About	On October 20, 2015, Mildred F West was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ. She was born on March 30, 1926 to Ernest and Bertie Bonds in Keota, Oklahoma. She married Luther D Brakefield in 1946 and Hershel L West in 1959. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Hoyt Bonds; granddaughter, Brenda West; and great grandson, Zach. She is survived by children: David Brakefield (Marge), Happy Jack, AZ; Fran Brakefield, Midwest City, OK; Dan Brakefield, Jones OK; Bud Brakefield, Harrah, OK; Joán Brakefield (John Seyb), Flagstaff, AZ; and Hershel L. West, Jr., Edmond, OK.; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Mrs. West lived her entire life in Oklahoma, spending many years in Nicoma Park, Midwest City and Choctaw. She had a passion for birds and found great joy in watching them at their birdbath or bird feeder. She also loved to see flowers in her garden. A celebration of life is being held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Hershel, in Prague, Oklahoma.
