About Me	I have a great life - every day is a new day - I have been blessed with good health, healthy granddaughters, grandsons and beautiful children. I have a wonderful husband who day gives me joy just by his presence, living in a beautiful house with room for all the family on special occasions. I worked most of my life in the culinary profession, both as caterer, restaurant owner, manager, personal chef....you name it, I've done it in some form or another. Now I just play in my own kitchen and keep working on my cookbook. I stay in touch with my step children, two of whom live in Oregon, and one in Lubbock. Still talk to their dad (Eddie Shirley) and we have remained friendly for life. Took care of my 92 year old Mother in my home until she passed away peacefully on 3-4-11. I see my children and grandchildren often and have the privilege of taking care of my Grandchildren often. I was present for all 6 arrivals.
