About Me	I went to Amherst College and graduated with a degree in English. I then decided that I wanted to be a screenwriter, so I moved to NYC with my future husband, Jamie. I worked in the film industry for about six years, sold a few scripts (none were produced) and worked as a development assistant (read other people's scripts and wrote rejection letters--bad karma for a writer). After 9/11, I decided to do something more meaningful and tried to become a teacher. I subbed in the NYC public schools, where students mostly threw things at me and lit things on fire. Fortunately, I had to leave when I found out I was expecting twins. Xavier and Noah were born in July 2003. I stayed at home with them for a few years (they're very cool). We moved to Massachusetts and now live just outside of Boston. I'm still writing (articles and books now) and have taken a job with the Public Affairs office at Harvard Medical School. This fall, I started a degree program in the History of Science through the Harvard Extension School.
