| About Me | 3 days after graduating MTHS, I was on my way to basic training for the Air Force. After basic, I was assigned to Westover AFB in Mass. Stayed there until April of '62 and then was assigned to Tainan Air Station in Taiwan. Spent 1 and a half years there and was assigned to McGuire AFB, here in Jersey, eventually being discharged in March of 1965. In June 0f '65, while in Atlanta, I met a gorgeous Southern Belle and was, as they say, smitten!!! Turns out she was, as well, but we didn't say anything to each other about this. I went back to Jersey and she thought she would never see me again......Fooled her!! I called the next week and then about 3 times a week until August, when I came back to see her. While here, I asked her to marry me and she said yes and I was in 7th heaven. on July 17th, 2016, we celebrate 50 years together and I don't know how she has done it, but I am glad that she did!! Molly taught elementary school for 40 years before retiring in 2003 and I was in sales for 35 years, retiring in 2006. We have a son who will be 42 in July and he is married to a great lady by the name of Beth and they have a son by the name of Jacob. Drew is in the insurance business and Beth is a VP for Wells Fargo in Charlotte, which is where they live. Our daughter lives near us and is a teacher, just like her Mom and was named the Teacher of the Year for the Primary school, teaching 1st grade. Her husband Justin and his father started a Medical transport company a few years ago and is named Caring Man in a Van and they have just started franchising around the country.
