Spent four years in the USAF as an airborne navigational RADAR technician and NCOIC of the field maintenance section. My duty stations included Sampson AFB in Geneva NY, Keesler AFB Biloxi MS, Barksdale AFB Shreveport LA, Dyess AFB Abilene TX. I also spent a 90 day TDY at BenGureir AFB Morocco,4 weeks in Maine at Loring AFB, 4 weeks in Denver CO at Lowrey AFB. Plus some short stints in Macon GA, Bermuda, and Presque Isle ME. After discharge, I worked for the DOD in missile telemetry (Dept. of the Army) and US Naval guns (Dept. of the Navy0. I lived in Lerici Italy for 5 years overseeing the production of the MK-75 rapid fire cannon. At the time of my retirement I was serving as foreign military sales representative to the Taiwanese Navy.

Served first 2 yrs as grunt, then to Defense Language Institute, Monterey Ca for Swahili Language, attached to NSA at Ft Meade, Md then to Camp Lejeune with 2nd Radio Bn, 13 months with 1st Radio Bn, Dong Ha, Vietnam, then to the Philippines for 2 yrs then back to Camp Lejeune for a year with 6 mos in Morocco, back to Monterey for Chinese Mandarin, Okinawa, Monterey for 4 yrs as Chinese Mandarin Instructor, 3yrs at Kaneohe MCAS to retirement. 22 yrs total.
