PS, Gus was my age so I suspect he was born in 1946. I know it has been at least a year since he passed. So he must have passed in his early to mid 70's.

Gus was a great guy. I always knew he would do well in life and he did. From what I was told he not only was a great doctor he helped found a hospital. My funny memory of Gus was at a school athletic demonstration for the whole school and their families. I was a runner and Gus was a high jumper. So coach Maggliocco had me involved by doing the high jump with Gus. Well I missed and hit the pole. I wanted to jump again but coach said no. Gus jumped in and pleaded with him also and he gave in. I made the next jump and was so relieved. Gus later told me, laughing, that he had raised the bar. I almost had a heart attack, but Gus said he knew I could do it. He had more faith in me than I did.
