Happy 50th Reunion!! There will be a combined (DLS/Rogers/St.K's/Middletown) get-together on August 22, 2015 at the Hyatt in Newport. A few of us are trying to organize something for just MHS grads on Friday, the 21st. ~~Reunion Update ~~ May 2010 Hi all! Plans for the upcoming reunion this summer are moving right along. This update includes information you might need to know, but is not included in the actual invitation. We are excited about the plans and hoping everyone will be able to attend. Please help us out by contacting the people that you hope to see at the reunion and encouraging them to attend. If updates via email are desired, please be sure to send us your email address.  Special Friday night event! “Lisa and Friends†will feature Lisa Nemzo (formerly Nemtzow) performing at a time and place to be arranged. Please bring your instrument if you would like to join in the music. All are welcome! Don’t miss this opportunity to see our talented musician classmates in action!  For those of you who have moved “off island,†please visit the Newport Chamber of Commerce site to check on hotels: http://www.newportchamber.com/visitors/. Most or all require a two-night minimum booking for a Saturday night stay. They are filling quickly for the summer, so please call soon to reserve. Many will accept AAA and AARP (ugh!) discounts. Prices range from about $180 to much higher. For off-island options please see listings on the back of this page.  As part of our Down East Bake Kempenaar’s will provide pre-dinner munchies (pretzels/trail mix), and the committee will be providing additional appetizers, treats and a “Class of ‘70†cake.  Kempenaar’s Clambake Club has activities like volleyball, bocce ball and horseshoes. So if you still have that competitive spirit you may want to bring your game face!  When making reservations for the reunion, checks should be made out to Middletown High School. They will be delivered to Jane Hale, who is still employed at MHS, and she will hold our money and make the payments needed.  Please know that we have no budget with which to work, so our mailing, labels, paper and extra food items are all donated by the “kindness of the committee.†If you would like to add a bit extra to your check, it would be helpful for our future reunions or to invite a faculty member to this reunion. • On the back of this page is the list of classmates we have not yet found.
