Dear Fellow 70er,


We are writing to inform you that due to Kentucky Governor Breshear’s Covid19 mandate regarding gatherings of more than ten people, we the planning committee, have postponed our 50th MHS Class of 1970 50th Reunion. The rescheduled date is 27-28 August 2021. We sincerely hope that you will mark your calendars and plan to join us next year to help us celebrate this milestone.

For those of you who have submitted your payment for the reunion you may do one of the following:

1) Leave your payment(s) in the MHS Class of 1970 checking account and know that you are prepaid for the rescheduled date, or…

2) Notify us that you want us to refund your payment;

3) If you would like to go ahead and pre-pay for next year you may do so.

If you made a hotel reservation, you will need to contact the hotel and cancel or reschedule your reservation.
The Re-scheduled Reunion will still be held at The Middlesboro Community Center on 30th Street (formerly known as The Jaycee Civic Center). The cost is $50 per person. If you wish to purchase a group picture, the cost is $20 and money should be sent along with your registration money. Check or money order should be made to: MHS Class of 1970 and mailed to MHS Class of 1970, 199 Cowslip Drive, Harrogate, TN 37752.
As was stated in the original letter, we started with an old address list. For some that were returned, we were able to get a current address, but a few we were not. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing how many may have been tossed by a resident other than the classmate since it was so old, Therefore, a list of classmates that we still have no address for or whose letters were returned are listed below. Please look over the list and if you know of any contact or mailing information for them please let us know. We want to be able to reach any classmate who may be unaware of the reunion and its re-scheduled date.
