| About Me | I've been married for 5 years after 24 years as a widow. Grandchildren include 1 set of triplet boys born 8/2016. Oldest grandchild is 10 youngest 8 mos. Much of my life's work has been around philanthropy in Chicago & Kenya involved with health, Human Rights and biomedical science. As my late husband was an engineer by training, also have helped the University of Michigan College of Engineering. Currently supporting the Lurie Prize in the Biomedical Sciences at the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health; I love meeting the scientists who are doing work that will have positive impact on individuals' health. I'm a member of the Board of Health for Teton County and other not-for-profit boards. Learned to fly fish after 3 trips to Patagonia in Argentina. Our house in WY is surrounded by half a mile of Hoback River, so we can fish outside the front door (catch and release). I'm a more-than-half-my-life vegetarian. Family includes 2 medium sized Goldendoodles and 4 chickens! I still spend considerable time in Chicago, my previous home for 41 years and am actively involved with boards and charitable endeavors - and kids & grandchildren. My husband has 2 grown boys from his previous marriage, so IF we could get everyone together, it would be a big group! - pretty different for an “only child”. An update; there are 2 more Lurie grandchildren on the way - one in March (a girl) and one in May. That will bring us to 14.
