| Favorite School Memory | The newspaper staff had a dance and I hired a band that had my future husband in it. Also , our class was the first graduating class at the NEW high school. |
| About Me | Was a mom and volunteered at school and scouts. Then got an LPN degree. Moved to California and got an RN degree. moved to Atlanta opened my own fabric store till 1996. I worked for the olympic committee in the costume dept. for the 96 olympics. Sold my business in dec 1996 and then went to work for a design company in the floral dept. doing weddings. When my husband retired I became interested in the history of our town of Duluth, Ga. For the past 2 years I have been President of the Duluth Historical Society and manage a museum in a 110 year old house and grounds. My husband is a very accomplished woodworker and we do 12 shows a year. In younger years we worked to build soccer programs in the communities in which we lived. In Miami, I was president of the Dade County cooperative extension homemakers and helped women realize that being a homemaker was an important job with real value.
