Melody Ann Hampton, age 59 of West Milton, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at her home. Melody was born in Greenville on April 4, 1957 to George Miller and Janice McBride; was a graduate of Miami East High School, Class of 1975; and was "the best military wife ever!" Melody was a loving wife, mom, and mamaw. Preceded in death by her father, George Miller; and her grandparents, Clarence & Ethel McBride, Beacher & Rita Miller, Arlene & Bill Westfall. Melody is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Kim M. Hampton; mother, Janice McBride and Leo "Pop" Schemmel of Daytona Beach, FL; daughter, Sara Taylor of Arcanum; son, Ryan Hampton of Afghanistan; four grandchildren, Reagen Otto, Cassandra Nicholson, Kilee Hampton, & Gavin Nicholson; brother and sister-in-law, Rick & Janice Miller of Clarksville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Jaci & Rocky Clark of Parsons, WV; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
