Knew Jeff from the 4th grade through college and more. We both went to Longfellow and Kino Jr High but his physical disability diverted him to Westwood instead of our vastly dispersed (three streets, a major road and railroad) Mesa HIgh.
Jeff was someone I could be honest with and real with. He hated people who treated him differently because of his condition, especially service employees. Many took his words as harsh when he was actually either kidding or testing someone's intentions. I miss his snarky comments about the world around us and am sad he passed too soon.
