About Laurence "Larry" D. Rhodes, age 68, of Menomonie, WI passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his home.

He was born April 15, 1945 in Menomonie, WI to Laurence and Susan (Pavlenko) Rhodes. Larry was raised in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1963. He served in the WI Army National Guard.

In 1965, Larry married Suzanne R. Olson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Menomonie. They had two children, Laurie Sue and Lynda Michelle.

Larry lived in Seattle, WA where he worked in an auto parts store and for Kenworth Trucking after moving back to Menomonie he worked at ATT Auto Parts and the Ford garage. The family then moved to St. Paul, MN where Larry was plant manager at Flint Ink, Great Western Recycling and Akzo Ink until retiring in 2007 and moving back to Menomonie.

Larry enjoyed fishing, working on cars, hobby farming, growing apples, RVing, hunting and his poodles and cats. He will be sadly missed by his loving family.

Larry is survived by his wife Suzanne of Menomonie; his mother, Susan Rhodes of Menomonie; daughter, Lynda "Lyn" Rhodes of St. Paul, MN; a brother, Lon E. (Barb) Rhodes of Menomonie; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Laurence D. Rhodes Sr. and a daughter Laurie Sue Rhodes.

A Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Menomonie with Pastor Brett Voigt officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. There will be visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
