About | Michael H. Frasl, 69, formerly of Hadlock Pond, Fort Ann, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica following a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 2, 1942 in Menomonie, WI, he was the son of the late Edward and Mayme (Wagner) Frasl and was one of 14 children. Following his high school graduation, Mike enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1962, where he served his country aboard the submarines; Angler and Triton, before his honorable discharge in 1967. Mike married Yolanda M. Matheson on July 22, 1971 in Lake George. The couple raised their children in FeuraBush before relocating to Hadlock Pond. He was an electrician with General Electric in Selkirk for over 35 years before retiring. Mike was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Glens Falls and enjoyed attending the church’s men’s group. He also was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Delmar. He was a proud member of the Albany-Saratoga Base of the US Submarine Veterans Organization. His favorite pastimes were making cherished memories with his family, including watching his grandchildren’s sports and school events and time spent with his beloved dog, Daisy. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of 38 years, Yolanda on April 18, 2009. He leaves behind his children; Michael Frasl of Saratoga Springs; Jenna White of Amsterdam; Kimberly Zeoli and her husband, Charles, Jr. of Ravena; John Frasl and his wife, Jessica of Waterford; and Tammi Socha and her husband, David of Whitesboro. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Conner, Chad, Mitchell, Katelyn, Lucas, Chris, Wesley, Beth, and Josh; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Michael’s family from 11 to 1 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate his life will follow the visitation at 1 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Wagner, Pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Glens Falls, and Pastor Mark Mueller, of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, co-officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Warrensburg Cemetery. |
