About	Carol A. Voelker Carol Ann Voelker, age 65, of Wilson, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. Carol was born May 5, 1945, the daughter of Lawrence and Freida (Klatt) Husby in Menomonie. Carol grew up and attended school in Menomonie graduating with the Class of 1963. After high school she worked as a bookkeeper for Sanna Dairies. On May 8, 1965, Carol married Stanley Voelker at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Menomonie. They moved to Cady Township and raised three children: Brian, Cheryl and Kathy. Carol worked at Spring Valley Drug for a number of years and finished her working career working 28 years for 3M. Carol liked a little excitement and enjoyed fast cars with loud mufflers. She loved all sports and was a great fan of the Spring Valley Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. She loved horse racing and looked forward to watching the Triple Crown. Those who knew her knew of her sense of humor and how she loved to pick on Stan. She collected antiques and would spend hours at auction sales. Most important in her life was her family, and she was most happy when everyone was gathered together - the louder the better. Her four grandsons, Robert, Nathan, Samuel and Benjamin, were her pride and joy. Most will remember her and her love of sports, especially the Badgers and Packers. She was also an avid shopper and she loved Christmas time and giving gifts. Traveling around the country with Stan became one of her favorite hobbies. Carol liked nothing better than a big bowl of hot buttered popcorn. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Stan; her three children, Brian (Karen) Voelker of Cadott, Cheryl Voelker of Wilson, and Kathy Voelker of Neenah; four grandsons, Robert, Nathan, Samuel and Benjamin Voelker; four brothers, Lawrence (Cynthia) Husby Jr., Robert (Jody) Husby, Morris "Butch" (Vicki) Husby, and Bradley Husby; two sisters, Jean (Chris) Langlois and Aisha (Sikandar) Bashir; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Memorial visitation was on Monday from 4 until 7:30 p.m. followed by an 8 p.m. prayer service at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley. Memorial service was on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spring Valley with Fr. Varkey V. Joseph and Br. Michael Mandernach officiating. Music was provided by organist Ellen Rominski and the church choir. Burial was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Spring Valley. Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley handled arrangements.
