SCHUTZ Dorothy F. Schutz, age 90, of Menomonie, WI died Saturday, Sept. 27th, 2008 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie. Dorothy Frances Husby was born April 26th, 1918, to Louis and Bertha (Micheels) Husby in Menomonie. She graduated from Menomonie High School in 1936. As a young woman, Dorothy worked as a telephone operator and as a dental assistant. She married Herb D. Schutz on August 26th, 1941. Together they had two children. Dorothy will be remembered for her love of and dedication to her family and anyone who was in need. Her adult life was spent as a willing and able volunteer with Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi, Dunn County Historical Society, Dunn County Red Cross, Girl Scouts of America, Mable Tainter Memorial Theater Guild, Menomonie Women’s Club and P.E.O. Dorothy is survived by her husband Herb of Menomonie; daughter Patricia (Keith) Leiseth of Lake City, MN; son Timothy (Jane) Schutz of Menomonie; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister Coly Florin of Eau Claire; and many other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth Jacobson and brothers John, Clarence, Earl, Marvin and Don Husby. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Mary Jorgensen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery also in Menomonie. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. The family suggests memorials to charity of donor’s choice.
