John E. Weinkauf, age 57, of Menomonie, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
John was born Nov. 3, 1943, in Milwaukee to Gerhardt and Louise (Kirk) Weinkauf. John grew up in Menomonie and graduated in 1961 from Menomonie High School. He served from 1961 to 1965 in the U.S. Air Force. John was in an automobile accident in 1965, and as a result, lived the remainder of his life at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
John is survived by his mother, Louise, also at the Dunn County Health Care Center; one brother, Gary (Sandy) of Eau Claire; one sister, Diane Niemeyer of Fort Atkinson; two nephews; two nieces; and one aunt, Catherine Winberg of Menomonie.
