Lost & Found Mendham High School Class Rings

I lost my Mendham HS class (1978 blue stone with 'starflame' design) on 3 December 1981 at UNC-Charlotte on the spot where, at the time the running track (and field) was. I was in ROTC at the time and lost it when it fell of my poncho liner while my class was having a PT test. Cadet Lt Robin Garrison had noticed a poncho liner still layed out on the grass (not knowing my ring was on it [placed there so it would not hit my head when we were doing sit-ups] and went it grabbed it and brought it to me)... It was not until later that evening that I realized that I had misplaced it and where. A friend of mine (Laura Johnson, who would later sign up for ROTC at UNCC) went down to the area where I believed it would be. It was then dark... We did not ever find it. Several years later this track was reconfigured. It was then I gave up on ever finding it. It had my initials on the inside (which I am purposely not listing here for various reasons). The ring only cost me $48.00 when new so it was not any financial loss... But it would be nice it ever turns up! Thank you. note: That years class rings were offered in silver ($34), paladium ($48) and gold and white gold for approximately $64. My ring was of course, the paladium which is like a stainless steel color... Made of this so it would not tarnish like the less costly silver.
