| About Me | After high school I moved to Sheridan, Wyoming and spent two years there before moving back to Wisconsin. In 1985, I returned to Wyoming and in 1986, I joined the Army. I did my basic training at Ft Dix, NJ and my AIT at Ft Eustis, VA where I became an AH-1 Cobra Helicopter Crew Chief and Mechanic. My first duty assignment was with the 2nd ACR at Feucht Army Airfield near Nurnberg, Germany. This duty assignment we patrolled Freedom's Frontier along the East German, Czechoslovakian and West German Borders. In 1987 I married the most beautiful woman in the world. I we returned to the States in 1989, one month before the Berlin Wall came down. We relocated with our two daughters to Ft. Carson, Colorado. In 1992, Our son was born and a few months later, I was medically discharged from service for a back and neck injury. After my time in the Army, I attended Fox Valley Technical College and received my Associates of Applied Science in Pulp and Paper Chemical Technology. In 1998, I began working in the Town of Lyons, Colorado as a Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Specialist. I also worked for the Town of Baggs, Wyoming and the City of Ft Morgan, Colorado. In 2004, I began working for Wyoming Association of Rural Water Systems providing training and technical assistance to the municipalities, special districts and homeowners associations throughout Wyoming. After 30 years, The Department of Veterans Affairs finally granted me 100% Veteran's Disability for my back, neck, legs as well as service-connected PTSD. I am still able to work but my mobility has greatly reduced so in April of 2023, I will be retiring but still intend to assist water and wastewater professionals prepare for state examinati...(read more) |
