Curtis Owen Hawker, Class of 1965 or 1966

Curtis Owen Hawker died April 17, 2010, at his home in Edmond, OK. Is the alumni association aware of this loss?

Curtis graduated from Taylor University (Upland, IN), with a bachelor's degree in speech and secondary education in 1970. He earned a master's degree in human resources and management while serving in the USAF, retiring in 1993. He then taught college-level English and retired from that in 2009.

Curtis was married to Ruth Ann Pulley, who worked at Taylor U. They had two sons, Jason (now 37) and Bruce, two years younger. Unfortunately, Bruce and Curtis died in the same tragedy in their home. They are buried in VanBuren Cemetery in VanBuren, Grant County, Indiana, near Taylor University.
