| About Me | Well, I have come to realize that I'm a quirky person. It's only annoying to those who are boring, status quo. I think outside the box on a lot of things. I'm by far not a surface person. I'm not a fair weather friend. I set about to get to know someone in deciding if I want to be friends with someone, by being the kind of friend I would want for myself. I love digging into a subject that I find interesting, learning all I can on the subject. I like to share what I learn with others. Intellectual conversation is the BEST!! I like having fun, but it's not like an important priority. I know how to have down time. I like being home mostly, but I also like going out, having drinks, or going dancing with friends and family. Rarely being spontaneous. Sometimes I like doing girl stuff like buying clothes and painting fingernails. But all in all, I'm a person who likes to get to know the REAL you. I can't really enjoy the light/vain side of life, at least not in the end. If a relationship/interaction has no depth, or it lacks commonalities, I'll let it go and move on. I don't find my peace and joy in external stimuli, as much as internal. I find the good in keeping my insides clean. I live by 4 standards: 1, Don't Covet or Envy What Other's Have. 2, Be Sure Your Sins Will Find You Out. 3, You'll Reap What You Sow. 4, Do unto others....I find always judging what you do by these 4, you'll greatly minimize the troubles in your life. Once you become my friend, and you've told me things about yourself, don't expect me to not have a reaction. Don't expect me not to try and help problem solve things with you. If you tell me your worries and concerns, I'm going to be proactive as a friend, even if it's just verbal brainstorming. I've learned this is kind of a selfish action to protect my psyche from things I can't see dealing with for a long time. So don't tell me your problems, then whine if I don't see things your way. I'm eventually a straight shooter. Patience first, then it's, "really now, WTH!?!!" if need be. I hope to find friends who holds my standards. Who in general care about the things in life I care about. Don't misread all that though. I get along with most everyone I meet. I just don't necessarily feel the need to become anything ore than a good acquaintance. Especially with those who say one thing, and do another. Or can't make logical sense about why they live life/do the things they do. It's real, or it should be questioned. I believe personal growth comes best by being involved. Some of life's lessons are hard to "get" and understand. I'm learning not to be afraid. Not going to let things I'm not learned in slow me down. I'm going to experience things and grow. The more you learn, the wiser you'll be. Wisdom is the...(read more) |
