| About Me | I left Florida in 1988 and spent 22 years away from Florida working mostly in the restaurant & nightclub business living in NY, RI, Ohio, CA and WA and doing a lot of traveling! I have crisscrossed our magnificent country 4 times, I've visited all 50 states, 2 US territories, 3 continents and 23 countries. I experienced a fantastic life! I’ve paid a visit to, caught a glimpse of, stopped at or stayed at each place you could think of, upon every listing of sites to visit! I have no place else that I want to see! I never got married; never found anyone as good as a certain girl I once loved and never stopped loving! Now at 55, I've retired, doing OK, and my bucket list is pretty complete (there are a few things I just can’t afford to do, like going into space!), so I’m really bored! I moved back to Melbourne in July 2011. I abide myself with walks on the beach. I do my exercises. I sit here for fleeting stretches on my computer accomplishing zilch. I sit, tormented by myself, suffering and surfing through TV channels, exhaustingly! I quit smoking about 7 1/2 years ago, haven’t partaken in any kind recreational drug in 20 years, I don't drink much, I have one here and there! After moving back here, I have discovered, you indeed, can't go home again! Most of my old haunts that I sought to see from back in the heydays in South Brevard honestly aren't around anymore. It’s as if my past is disappearing! All I have are my memories! I discovered that things do change, that's for sure! It's not trouble-free continuing communications or relations with everyone you encounter throughout your life! You have to assume that these encounters are only seconds of time in our lives! You may never acquire that time back! It all adds up and your memories of aforesaid cease to exist! It’s nice when you can reconnect and get those seconds back! I was born a Florida Cracker, and I am still proud to say “I’m Florida Cracker from Melbourne Florida and PROUD OF IT!” Politically, I’m an American sick of the way things are being run by the damn crooked career politicians in D.C.! I’m a person that leans to the left on something’s, but I lean mostly to the right on most things. I never vote party lines, I vote for the candidate I believe will do the best job! I don't like left or right wing extremist! I’m not religious and I don’t like overzealous religious people! I don’t drink anyone’s Kool-Aid! I watch a lot of news, all except MSNBC! I read everything I can before I comment for the most part. Still a Dolphins and Cincinnati Reds fan! I root for all Florida College and pro teams in all sports when they’re in the running!
