I lived in the van Atta family 1965-1966 as an exchange student from Norway and shared bedroom with her brother Bill. Pat was 13 at the time.
In 1996 I revisited Florida and met Patty and her boyfriend and son in the Keyes and we went diving for fish, for a whole day. They lived in a cabin on top of poles because of flooding during hurricanes.
Little did I know that she would pass away only arven years later.
