About	Fred was born on June 13, 1938, in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, the son of Fred and Ludell Van Lengen, and died on March 10, 1994, in Plant City, Hillsborough County, Florida. Left to mourn him were his wife of sixteen years Patricia Van Lengen; five children (with first wife Gloria W. Aguayo) Fred Van Lengen III (Cathy), Jeanne (Brian) Taylor, Michelle (Curt) Ivey, Jon Mark Van Lengen, Jan M. Howard(Gregg), and eight grandchildren. Fred was employed with GTE. He served as a supply pastor at Dover United Methodist Church in Dover, Florida, and was active as a Boy Scout leader. He also served as a volunteer fireman with the Dover fire department. Services were held March 14 at the First United Church of Dover, with the Rev. Joe D. Bishop officiating.
