About Me | Born in Tucson - raised an air force-brat in Maine, Texas, Arkansas, and Washington - graduated from Medical Lake High School, near Spokane - worked construction and smelter operations at Magma Copper Company before hiring on with the Pima County Sheriff's Department in 1973 where I worked Patrol, Training, I.A., S.I.U. and Traffic before supervising the Traffic Unit and retiring in 1995. I have since worked in the private accident reconstruction consulting field all over the U.S. and have handled over 1500 cases and have testified in 150 court rooms - I received my international certification - there are, unfortunately, no degree programs in this area - there are many intervening scientific disciplines that cover a spectrum of forensics - I've taken 2000+ hours of crash specific training at Northwestern University, Texas A & M, the University of Northern Florida and others. I love to illustrate, write, have completed two screenplays and am working on five more - many short stories, two children's stories and three novels. I like music, old television episodes - nostalgia mostly. I enjoy walking, camping, fishing, and meeting up with friends and networking. My finished scripts are: "The Reckoning: The Joe Harvey Story" and "The Badger's Lair" Scripts in various stages of completion are"The Gift of the Winter Warlock", "In Pursuit of the Time Tamperers", "Neptune Rising", "The Return of the Hunter", "The House on Moon Garden Terrace", "The Devil's Rotisserie", "Pages to a Dead Man", and a modern version of "Turok! Son of Stone". I am also working with a co-writer - adapting his novel "The Gordian Knot". Short stories include "Christmas at Capital Creek", "The Terror of Sombrero Butte", "The Bullingen Tigers", and "Incident at Saturn Rock" Children stories include "The Day Ebert Lost His Shell", and "The Pumpkin Who Was Afraid of Halloween". I really enjoy writing and story composition. I attended Robert McKee's Story seminar in Manhattan in 2008 and was intrigued by the evolution of storytelling since the earliest tales - we studied the core concepts behind the movie 'Casablanca'. I have recently reviewed most of Alfred Hitchcock's earliest films and even took a look at his collection from 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents' - also, from the TV collection of 'Thriller' episodes. There are so many little "gems" out there. My personal favorites are certain episodes of 'Twilight Zone' - most notably, "Little Girl Lost" - and 'The Outer Limits', again - most notably, "The Demon with a Glass Hand", "Premonition", and "The Man with the Power". Watching these shows does not get the writing done, but it is always a great joy to experience these from time to time. I like people and doing my very best to help them with adverse situations - I suppose it's this desire that made me want to take on law enforcement for a couple of decades. Everyone I've ever met is worthy of a bo...(read more) |
