About Me	I am a New Englander of Canadian Ancestry with a stong maritime heritage. My people are and were shipbuilders. I was in the Navy as was my mothers brother and my father. Music has always been importent to me I love to sing and have been taking lessons on Classical Guitar for the past five years. I am branching out into the Lute and have one on loan. Early Music is a passion and I love Bach's Music and want to play some of the music that has been transcribed for guitar. If anyone out there is of a like mind I would like to share impressions. I used to play the Highland Bagpipes untill I was 29. When I went to Scotland in 1973 to do my graduate work at the University of Edinburgh I continued my piping studies with P.M. George Stoddart, MBE. I learned and played the real thing. It is not all about Amazing Grace. One of my jobs is a recovery specialist with Sweetser of Portland. Challanging. I have been at it this time around for almost four years. I like to bake fancy things especially things to do with apples. I want to learn to do strudle but the dough intimidates me.
