Linda was my best friend from the time her family moved in across the street from me and we went to Hobbs Junior High to her death. We spent a lot of time together and in college and after we travelled together. Locally to Martha's Vineyard then we spent almost 2 months in Europe with another friend. We both moved to California and continued travelling, to Hawai'i for one. Linda settled in California and I had to move back to Medford but we stayed in touch and saw each other yearly. We had long talks, shared laughs as well as commiserations. We were planning another trip when she suddenly passed away. I still have that heartache when a loved person goes. She was way too young. Will miss her always.

Linda was my first girlfriend. I first saw her a week or so before school began at the Hobbs Junior High School. It took almost 3 years before I mustered the courage to speak to her. We dated through high school through our graduations at Suffolk and NU universities. We visited each other in Rochester, NY and Oakland, CA. We remained ‘soulmates’ up to her passing. She remains my ‘soulmate’ and I look forward to being with her in heaven when the time comes. She will always be my first girlfriend, someone I admire and cherish to this very day.
