Ken died from liver cancer. He had a career in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police but deciding that wasn't what he really wanted to do he left that and bought his own tractor truck and went on the highway hauling goods from Canada to the United States. He was a first-class driver with over a million miles and no accidents. He loved driving he drove truck right up until his death.

Ken never married. He had a girlfriend all through High School and into college. When they broke up he had many girlfriends after but said he always felt like he was cheating on his first girlfriend. Ken has a sister and a brother and a niece and three nephews all missing him very much.
