| About Me | New Retirement Philosphy: Work hard, learn, raise a family, and invest wisely until one reaches retirement age. Then everything reverses itself, you freak out and count back down to zero! Am currently retired for about 2 1/2 years from the Steamfitters local 267 in Syracuse. I graduated from Onondaga Community College in 1996 and received my bachelors degree from Clayton College and State University in Morrow, Georgia in 2004. I used to ski and also played racqetteball three mornings a week before work until I finally wore myself out. We moved to Atlanta in 1998 when I worked for Carrier Corporation factory service. My wife, Susan, works as a high school teacher in Henry County. She graduated from George Washington University and Trinity College. Our daughter, Sarah, graduated from Georgia Tech, is married, and is earning her masters degree from Virginia Tech. Our son, Justin, did a 5 year stint in the US Navy, and also did 2 tours in Bahraine. He now works for the DOD at the Corpus Christe Army Depot. I might add that he is an excellent self taught guitarist and singer. I vollunteer at the Commemorative Air Force Hanger located in Peachtree City where they restore vintage war birds. I have flown the North American P51 Mustang "Red Nose" , the Lt-6 Mosquito, and other aircraft from the rear seat. Check out www.dixiewing.org. We live about 20 miles south of the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport in a nice subdivision. Anyone that visits can contact us about the area. I forgot to add the most important part, I enlisted in the USAF in 1965 while the military draft board was breathing down my neck. After basic training, everone laughed when I was assigned to refrigeration tech school, but I always wonder what happened to all those teletype repair technicians. Any ways, I went on to advanced training and ended up in Cheyenne, Wyoming, servicing the cooling systems on the Minuteman ICBM missiles silos. Last year we visited Cheyenne during Frontier Days and we got to go into one of the training silos that they now have on base. Am now working on my fourth attempt to play the guitar.
