He was born May 10, 1921 in Solon, NY. In our eyes, and many that knew him, he was the greatest storyteller of all time and a prolific woodworker. He was a master craftsman of both. Over the years he worked for Thompson Boats, Chris-Craft and ETL. Of the many joys in his life his family and the Adirondack Mountains were foremost. He loved to hunt, fish, and camp including at Knoble’s camp on North Lake. He and his wife enjoyed attending the annual trapper’s convention at Piseco Lake.
Howard is survived by his daughter, Noreen “Tootie” Boyce, his grandchildren Jackie (Jeff) Maxson, Howard (Renee) Boyce, Bob (Loretta) Lilly, Lynette (Stephen) Furlin, Paul Thompson, Colleen (Jeff) Rynders, and Tami Linger. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
