| About | Born January 1,1951, passed in his sleep in Ridgeway ,SC. Alan graduated from McGraw High School & Arapahoe Community College with a Business Degree. His parents were Rodric & Ethel Harris Stebbins, siblings Wayne Stebbins of Englewood,Co; Joan (Harry) Shadinger, Penrose,Co, Joyce Thomas,Cortland, NY. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews including Michael(Corina) Batsford ,Berkshire,NY; Jo Anne (Jon) Harding, Broomfield,Co; Robert Beyer,Charleston,SC; Elizabeth(Jay) Ray,Wichita Ks; Val (Paul) Turo, Evie Smith of Ithaca area;Amy, Dennis & Rebecca Thomas, Cortland, NY area; grandnieces & nephews. Aunts Ruth Jordan & June Harris from Cortland/Solon area; numerous cousins on both Stebbins & Harris sides all over the country. Alan was blessed with an extended family, John & Shannon Ryan & family, to whom we are grateful. They were with Alan to the end of his short life. It is greatly appreciated! Alan is the youngest of us kids! He was always a loner in my book! He just liked being alone! He never wanted kids of his own and was very opinionated and that was hard on the family! This is a family picture of our family back when I was 15, in 1962. I think you can identify Alan! He was never married and only had a girl friend later in life for him about mid forties, but she moved away too! He had a lonely life and liked being by himself. We rarely saw him except for holidays so he could see his nephew and grand-nephews, no one else, he did hang around my hubby Harry, but it was hard as Al lived in Denver and we moved away for more time with our families too. I have four children, five grandkids, two great grand kids, and everyone is spread far and wide!. Alan is missed though.
