Mr. Atkins was born in McGraw, New York and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1969.
Prior to retirement, he worked as a Foreman at the Power Plant. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He also was the owner/proprietor of Atkins Market, McGraw NY.
Survivors include his daughters, Roxanna Powell of Port St. Lucie, FL, Jalna Owen of McGraw, NY and Eliza Macy of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Mark Atkins of Port St. Lucie, FL; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy J. Atkins and son, Richard Zeke Atkins.
