Rick Hale
Class of 1970
was a starter on the MHS basketball team which beat Madison West 74- 47 (estimated) in the playoffs. At the UW-Madison he was on the 71-2 rowing tream which won the overall trophy for best collegiate team in America. After completing his Junior Year in Germany he stayed another year travelling about Europe and the Midldle East. He came to Houston to teach German at the University there and studied for his Masters. He landed a jopb for six years at the German Consulate doing public relations and translations. He then built his own home with the help of a couple friends on a bayou near the Space Center which he turned into a pet rescue shelter called Victim's Savior and cares for about 23 deserving pals. He suggests. vegetarianism for longlife and health. Hobbies include singing and playing guitar and swimming with his dogs in the Bayou at his house, He also worked some years as a portait artist and student of yoga, Check out the web site photos of Neem Karolil Baba and be amzed at the way he can move his limbs miraculously.... truly amazing.!
