About Me	As many of you know, I spent a few years wasting my time at Bakersfield College and working for McDonald's. I finally moved to Fresno to take over a store for McDonald's there and shortly after, my dad passed away after battling cancer. I spent about a year after that just surviving and not really living. One day, I drove down to visit my mom who now lives in Bakersfield, and found myself at the recruiting station. I initially wanted to join the Air Force, but they were closed and walked into the Army office. Six days later, I was on a plane headed for Fort Knox, Kentucky for basic training at age 24. Complete my training and shipped off to Korea for a year where I had a blast and drank way, way too much!! LOL. Reported to Fort Drum, New York in 2002. I went from Private First Class to Staff Sergeant Promotable while I was there. Shortly after arriving to New York, I met and married my wife Mindy. We have three children, Mackenzie is 13, Breanna is 10, and Cameron is 4. I was deployed to Afghanistan for 9 months in 2003, Baghdad, Iraq for 12 months in 2005, Kirkuk, Iraq for 9 months in 2007. I just recently completed the Army's Warrant Officer training, of which only 2% of the entire Army are actually considered for. I am headed to Fort Hood, Texas at the end of Oct 2008 and will deploy once again to Iraq in early 2009. I have had a great time in the Army and being to many different places. I have been to Korea, Japan, Philipines, Germany, Afghanistan, Ireland, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. Ready to settle down in one place for awhile though. UPDATE!! I am back in Iraq, again! Have about six months left on this deployment. Different experience for me this time. I manage the distribution of all of the food to Coalition installations in Northern Iraq. Also working with Iraqi Army to setup their food distribution system. Looking forward to getting back to the US by Christmas. Killing some time over by teaching myself to play the electric guitar.
