Former administrator, speechwriter and president's Cabinet member at Bard College; long-time Dean and presidential speechwriter at Essex County College in NJ; now retired. Wife Lekha, daughter of a NASA physicist and an international law professor, is a retired college administrator, English professor and writer, now an award winning ballroom dancer (dancing has 1,000 bodily rules you wouldn't believe). Daughter Mallika Lecoeur, for a short time a faculty member at Columbia U. right after she received her PhD, then moved to France with her husband and became a management consultant to multinational European companies and speechwriter for corporate CEOs in English and French; lives just outside Paris with her husband and three kids. We visit them often. (beyondcommunications-paris.com) Actively support family-run boarding school in India for "untouchable" children (poorest of the poor) that my brother-in-law founded, named Shanti Bhavan (shantibhavanchildren.org). Educates poor children age 4-18, then pays their way through university. Please feel free to contact me, even though we might not have known each other well. Some of you I knew for 12 years; others for six years; and yet others for two or three years. That's a long time. We Trojans need to stick together! I live by many mottos and axioms, but two I like best are the following. As the celebrated American Indian painter and sculptor and professor at Bard College Jeffrey Gibson wrote: "Because once you enter my house, it becomes our house." And as Martin Luther King Jr. said: "I think love is the most durable element in the world, and my whole approach is based on that."
