| About Me | I was married to John for 39 years before he died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack in September 2016. When we were first married we lived in Anchorage, Alaska, for awhile until Brown & Root moved us to Houston. We moved to Boerne in 1980, where I became involved in local political campaigns. Had my first paid campaign job in 1990, and kept at it until January 2004 when I "retired" from politics and state government. Worked on then-Governor George W. Bush's staff during his first term as governor. Was in Austin as State Senator Jeff Wentworth's chief of staff from Aug-1996 to Jan 2004. Love it, but coming home to Boerne only on weekends got old after nine years. My husband and I built a 120-apartment complex in Boerne and opened for business January '08.
