Class of 1981
National Guard, 20+ Years
I joined the california army national guard on 19 april 82. over the next 22 years I served on missions that include california flood duty, forest fire suppression, tours of duty in panama, south korea, the los angeles riots, and most recently missions for the war on terrorism, including anti terrorism/force protection mission ( operation noble eagle). Through my 22 years of service I advanced through the ranks and finally retired on 1 Jan 04 at the rank of first Sergeant. In my carreer I was fortunate enough to serve with great soldiers that allowed me to be recognized for my efforts and achievments by receiving numerous awards to include the army achievment medal, the army commodation medal, the meritorious service medal award and the us army corps of eingineers bronze order of the de fleury medal.
