Peter Graduated from McArthur High School in 1968, and he has always been a proud McArthur Mustang.
After graduation Peter earned his commercial pilots license and was able to use that license to work his way through under graduate studies and on to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
He went on to serve in the United States Air Force and then began a career with the airlines eventually becoming an airline Captain and Instructor Pilot on a various aircraft including his favorite the Boeing 737. He went on to earn a second Bachelor’s degree, this time, in Aviation Sciences.
During his career he has flown over 83 different types of aircraft. He has had the honor and privileged to travel to a great many countries around the world, meeting, working and developing friendships with the people of those countries.
In 1986 Peter was tapped by an aircraft manufacturer to fly and evaluate a prototype aircraft. So in 1986 on the anniversary of the Wright brother’s first powered flight at Kitty Hawk and while on a test flight to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina to celebrate the anniversary, Peter set 6 world aviation records and 6 national aviation records.
In 1988 once again an aircraft manufacturer sought Peter’s help to test fly and evaluate a military prototype aircraft. In August of that year during a flight test Peter shattered and brought back home to the USA, two world aviation altitude records that had be held by Italy for over a quarter of a century.
Giving Peter a total of 8 world aviation records and 8 national records, Totaling 16 aviation records.
In December 1988 his world aviation records along with his other work within the aviation and aerospace industry on aviation safety issues were recognized by the International Pilots Association, who named Peter one of the world’s top ten pilots for 1988.
A dossier on Peter has been placed in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and he was made a member of the National Aviation Hall of Fame. He was later placed on their Board of Nominees, a position which he stills holds.
In 1989 President George H.W. Bush (President 41) considered Peter for a Presidential Appointment to the Federal Aviation Administration. However on the advice of his father Peter respectfully declined the appointment, but continued to help President Bush’s administration in the area of international aviation regulation and aviation safety issues.
In the 1990’s while Peter continued to fly aircraft around the world, he began to diversify his interests, serving as an executive and a member of the board of directors on a number of national and international companies, including becoming involved in an independent movie studio in Hollywood, California. In 1997 Peter along with a group of investors formed a company dedicated to work in the area of National Security for the U.S. Government, a company he stills serves on as a member of the Board of Directors.
Continuing with his love of aviation and wanting to give back to the industry that had given him so much. Peter worked on making the skies safer. The Federal Aviation Administration would designate Peter as an FAA Safety Counselor and give him Aircraft Inspection Authorization. In 2004 and 2005 he was awarded FAA Safety Counselor of the year.
Wanting to share his years of knowledge in aviation and aerospace with young people who were seeking careers in aviation Peter (in 2005) was awarded a full professorship at a prestigious aviation college in California and in 2008 he was appointed the colleges President of International Studies.
Peter continues to hold a faculty position as an adjunct College Professor with a State of California college and continues to teach and lecture on Aerospace engineering.
In 2011 Peter along with a longtime friend and distinguished aviation colleague launched a successful global aviation dot com company to assist the global aviation business community and modeled it after Googles business model. He now serves as President and CEO for that company.
When ask during an interview by a reporter where did he get the basis for his success, he replied “I guess it started when I was in High School. I went to McArthur High school in Hollywood, Florida, where self-confidence, drive, pride and the can do spirit of our mascot, a Mustang was encouraged in all the students. It’s that spirit that has carried me throughout my life.”
