| About Me | "Always welcome an email from old friends and school mates. I have had an amazing life! My 50th Mayo 1970 High School Reunion is coming up Aug. 20 & 21, 2021 so I decided to update my profile. Hitch hiked Europe right after High School. Lived in Spain and England before I joined the Navy in 1971 > 1975. Two tours in the Persian Gulf (Bahrain IS., East Africa, Mauritius, Seychelles, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Iran) and a tour in Greece with the USS America as Military Police. (I have a lot of Navy stories... it will cost you a beer) After the Navy I returned to Rochester in '75 and graduated from JCC then UM-Duluth with a History Degree, then Graduate school at UW-Superior (Counseling). While in College worked as an Interviewer Intern at the MN Job Service office in Duluth where I met Cathy and we were married in 1978 and the rest is history... three children and three grandsons. (No I did not interview her for the job!) Started work in 1978 at the Kahler Corp. in Rochester as an HR Analyst. My entire career has been in Human Resources - Labor Relations, Employment Law, etc. in Technology, Manufacturing, Electronics or Wind Energy. VPHR with a Telecom startup in Cedar Rapids. Worked for Toro for 20 years. Started a Wind Energy company with a group from India. Minnesota DHR for a Medical/Aerospace electronics company in Winona-Rochester. When I retired in 2016 I did volunteerism around the Winona area. We lived on the side of a bluff overlooking the Mississippi Valley. (I could see Wisconsin from my house, lol). I was a Docent at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum for a few years. From High School to present I continued my interest in photography, Ham Radio and high performance motorcycles. I've been blessed to do photo shoots on Alaska Glaciers, in Southern Iran, Africa, Sri Lanka, Cathedrals of Rome (Vatican), Old Quebec City, Prince Edward Island, England, Norway and from the bow of a fishing trawler in the Arctic Circle to name a few. Often you would find me in the Mississippi back-waters and swamps shooting wildlife or back in Europe doing my photography. I have three children, three grandchildren. Life is good but a little bumpy at times, but that is what makes it all worthwhile. In October 2019 we moved to Sioux Falls, SD for a new adventure... excited to continue my photography on the plains of South Dakota. Thank you for checking on what I have been up to.
