About Me	My love of photography is an obsession driven by an inspiration that's lead to an occupation that's drivin' me nuts! And, all this time I figured I had lost my creative artistic expression, only to find I was livin' in a cloud of numbness in a world full of crazy! Well, I was hatched (note last name..I'm a Bird) in Cleveland, Ohio in the suburbs in Highland Heights..Lived a fairly normal life until one day in 77'... I crashed and rolled my car, enjoyed a great rehab lesson from time spent learning about Spinal cord injury w/ 3 mo. in rehab. Tried living in the winters in Cleveburgh then decided to head for the Sun! An SCI made for Quite a change in my life. Challenging one's independence, goals, attitude love and fortitude! Art-wise, I started out at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh ! year in before my injury. Then, I moved to Daytona Beach to follow through With my edu. for photography school, to refine my skills. It was a sunny, brilliant idea and I do appreciate that move and sacrifice of my Mom and Dad so we moved to Fla to fine tune my photography, very good choice! Back to the story, and relating to after crash times, there were many roadblocks, both (social and physical), and finding work in photography back then lead to working for myself! Along that road, I decided to pursue a degree in rehabilitation counseling at UF where I got my masters degree. Worked for Brain& Spinal Cord Injury Program for years helping other individuals who sustained a spinal cord injury and head injuries work their way back into their life after injury.Very rewarding indeed. Today, I co-run a spinal cord injury support group, meets the third Friday of every month in Daytona Beach. Besides photography, I did many road races,5ks, 10ks, 15ks, 1/2 marathons,marathons and W/C sports etc., includng tennis, basketball and road racing! Road racing was such a blast! EDU: Mayfield High School alumni, class of 1975. Art Institute of Pittsburgh 1977. UF alumni class of 96 bachelors BHS and 97 masters MHS... Go Gators! Got married, to my beautiful wife Debbie, (boy did she look pretty!) on the dock, of my best friend Scott Goldy's place, in the Little Cayman Islands. What a Beautiful day! Today I'm back...doing photography, I own my Photography business. Loving it too!
