Sherie Ragsdale Kennedy
Class of 1975
I enjoyed English and decided to further my career as an English teacher. So, upon graduation from Matoaca High School in June, 1975, I then entered Longwood College and graduated from there with a BA degree in teaching English ( 1979). I wanted to preserve my knowledge of my home roots and in the year of 2000, I published a novel, titled The Journey Home using my pen name, Marigold Fields. I used Matoaca District, Chesterfield County, VA as the setting of this book. This book can be found at iUniverse.com, as well as Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million. Also, you can google my name for more info on this book. I loved growing up in the rural area of Matoaca and I could think of no better setting for my book!
