MILITARY: United States Air Force (USAF), 1967-1971.
Nuclear Weapons Technician, Minuteman Reentry System Evaluation Team Member (initial deployment QA function), completed inspection-assembly-testing-maintenance-repair and modification of nuclear weapons-warheads-related components (including handling and inventory of Tritium) and test equipment. Training included Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Conventional major accident, natural disaster and Missile Complex Disaster response strategies for Missile Defense of Maintenance Facilities and Silos. Responsible for the dissemination of military intelligence vital to the formulation and execution of national security policy. Good working knowledge of USACE design and construction procedures experience during MM III Facility addition at Minot AFB, ND. Held secret security clearance (OSI File #41-86905 dated 5 DEC 67) based on background investigation. Changed test program for targeting sequence of weapons system, which resulted in immediate savings of over $7,200. Awarded $415 cash award and the Air Force Commendation Medal for this suggestion and implementation. Thus, actually demonstrating DOD Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
