Sharon Guthrie Brett, 67, passed peacefully from this life to her reward on March 1, 2023 at her
home in Orange Beach, AL where she lived with her adoring husband, Tillis Brett, Jr.
Sharon was born in Mobile, AL. on November 24,1955 to James Guthrie and Hazel Marie
Hinton Guthrie. She was a graduate of Mary G. Montgomery High School.
Sharon was a strikingly beautiful woman but she will be most remembered for her beautiful
soul. She had a special way of making others feel welcome, loved, and cared for. She enjoyed
a long, successful career as a real estate agent at Brett Robinson Real Estate and often
developed lasting friendships with her clients. She loved to travel with her family and was
always ready to make the most of any moment. She was witty and had an amazing sense of
humor. Sharon was an excellent cook and could ride a Harley like a perfect lady. Her
grandchildren have the best memories to cherish of time spent with her at the beach and doing
all of the fun things with their Mimi. She was her daughter’s trusted confidant and best friend.
Sharon enjoyed many years of love, adventure, and being spoiled by her husband, Tillis, and
often bragged of how well he loved and cared for her. Most importantly, she loved the Lord
Jesus Christ with all of her heart and served him all of her days.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Tillis Brett, Jr. and her daughter, Kimberly (Patrick) Casey of
Mobile, AL. She was a loving grandmother to her grandson, James (Raven) Casey and
granddaughter, Lauryn Casey of Mobile, AL. She is survived by her siblings, Ed (Lou) Guthrie of
Petal, MS, Mike (Vicki) Guthrie of Grand Bay, AL, Judy (Clyde) Lane of Walland, TN, Joy
(Gerald) Voss of Hector, AR, Beth Staggs of Benton, AR, and many cherished extended family
members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janice Hall.
Sharon will be missed greatly. To know her was to love her and we will all strive to be just like
her when we grow up.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway in Saraland, AL., on
Tuesday, March 7th at 12PM, followed by a funeral service at 1PM. Sharon will be laid to rest
at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 1000 Celeste Rd. in Saraland, AL.
