| About Me | Attended Del Mar College then transferred to Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. While at Del Mar College I was initiated into Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for junior colleges. While in college I was on the Dean's List multiple times at both colleges. Following college graduation I took additional training and entered the workforce as a counselor intern. In 2002 I became licensed as a counselor in my chosen field and followed this with multiple state/international certifications. My employment as a counselor had me working several years with a Texas Department of Criminal Justice contracted vendor and am working now in the private sector where I have been for over 15 years now. Currently I am the treatment manager overseeing both adult and youth treatment along with adult and youth recovery support services. I still do clinical training institute for my company (oversee interns supervision pending licensure) and continuing education provider. I am a Red Cross CPR/First Aid instructor who had 4 employees I trained be given the lifesaving award signed by the honorary chair of the Red Cross; the president of the United States.
